It is with great pride and gratitude that I reflect on a recent event that brought together a community united by a shared purpose.
The experience was filled with powerful moments of connection, love, and support, reminding us of all the strength we derive from our collective faith and heritage.
Leading Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) Alumni Australia and being amongst them raising funds for Our Lady of Mercy Maronite Church and Monastery Goulburn, were the ultimate combination of an epic feeling of pride, passion, and commitment to my home country Lebanon and the Maronite Church.
May God bless us all and be with us as we navigate the challenging journeys ahead.

Landlord, Renters & Road Safety Research
The NSW Government is taking significant steps to improve the lives of Landlords, Renters and Young drivers.
With the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2024, the government is introducing new rental laws to provide more stability for renters and certainty for landlords.
Key changes include limiting rent increases to once every 12 months, ensuring that rents cannot be raised within the first 12 months of a tenancy, and banning fees for renters when searching for or applying for a tenancy. These updates, enforced by NSW Fair Trading, aim to create a fairer rental market for everyone.

In addition to that, multiple government agencies are supporting road safety research through the SMART Trial. ATKA is proud to support this initiative, which focuses on improving road safety for young drivers. New drivers, especially those holding a P1 license aged 18-23, are at a higher risk of crashes in the first six months of driving.
